As an additive for cement mixes: Add PlekoBond SP (up to 25% of the cement weight) to the previously prepared mixture of sand/cement or sand/cement /gravel and mix with suitable concrete mixer, pan mixer or low speed mixer until homogeneous, avoid overmixing. Apply by steel trowel and finish with a wooden float.
As a primer: Use PlekoBond SP without dilution. Apply PlekoBond SP directly onto the substrate using a brush or spray. If using a hand pump, spray at a rate of 4-6 m² per liter.
While the bonding agent is wet to tacky, immediately apply plaster, screed, render, or mortar.
As a bonding slurry: Mix PlekoBond SP with water at 1:1 ratio, mix with fresh cement and fine sand to achieve a homogeneous brush able slurry consistency Brush vigorously into the presoaked substrate to fill all pores, avoid puddling and remove any excess. The repair mortar or topping should be applied while film is still tacky.
